Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor sales team members, set individual and team sales goals, and monitor performance to meet targets.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales plans to expand the customer base and increase market share for IT products/services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, addressing their technical and business needs.
  • Sales Projections: Break down overall budgets into actionable sales projections for team members, tailored to geographic regions or product lines.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product development, and technical teams to align sales strategies with company goals and client needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales metrics, generate reports, and adjust strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and ensure successful deal closures.
  • Customer Support: Provide after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Qualifications and Education
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or Marketing is a plus, but a master’s degree (e.g., MBA), or certifications like Certified Professional Sales Leader (CPSL) or Certified Sales Executive (CSE) are not always required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in the IT industry (e.g., software or IT services sales).
  • Industry Knowledge: It is essential to have a deep understanding of IT products/services, such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, or IT Services
